Contaminant Transport via Atmosphere

In most cases odors are the reason of complaints where the source location in unknown. But also toxic and odorless contaminants like carbon monoxide, CO2 or other pollutants can be of concern. A tracer gas test makes it possible to locate and to quantify how much of this source spreads to a certain location.
For these tests one usually applies Perfluorocarbon tracer (PFT), as they can be easily concentrated. We measure PFT down to the 10^-15 range.
